Privacy Policy
MOVA NETWORK takes your privacy seriously and wrote this policy to be read, not just accepted. Here, in plain language, is what we collect on this site, what we use it for, and what your rights are under Brazil's General Data Protection Law, the LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018).
The honest summary: we only collect what you send us through the forms, we use that data to reply and to send communications you asked for, we do not sell data to anyone, and you can withdraw your consent whenever you want.
Who the controller is
The controller of the personal data processed on this site is MOVA NETWORK, responsible for movanetwork.com. For any privacy matter, the channel is education@movanetwork.com.
What data we collect
We collect only the data you provide in the site's forms, in the contact form and in the newsletter signup:
- Name
- The profile you selected (for example: student, family, school, company)
- The content of the message you write
- Program application data, when you apply (for BASE 2027: age, city, state, school, WhatsApp and motivation)
- Visit origin information (referring page and campaign parameters, the UTMs), when present in your visit
What we use the data for
We use the data for specific purposes, stated at the moment of collection:
- Replying to your message and continuing the conversation you started
- Sending the newsletter and communications about programs and opportunities, only with your consent
- Organizing program interest lists and letting you know when there is news
Legal basis
The processing described in this policy relies on your consent, provided for in article 7, item I, of the LGPD. You give consent by ticking the corresponding box in the forms, and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to education@movanetwork.com or through the link included in our communications.
Sharing
MOVA does not sell personal data. Full stop.
Data may be processed by suppliers that keep the site running, acting as processors under MOVA's instructions and only for the purposes in this policy: Vercel (site hosting), Airtable (storage of the data submitted through the forms, with servers in the US) and Resend (delivery of confirmation and notification emails, with servers in the US).
Cookies
Today the site uses only cookies essential to how it works. We do not use advertising cookies or non-essential trackers. If that changes, this policy will be updated and the cookie notice will ask for your choice before anything else.
How long we keep the data
We keep data for as long as the purposes in this policy require: for the duration of the conversation you started, or for as long as you want to receive our communications. Once consent is withdrawn or a deletion request is fulfilled, the data is erased, except where the law requires retention.
Your rights as a data subject
Article 18 of the LGPD guarantees you, among others, the rights to:
- Confirm whether we process data about you
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data
- Request the anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data
- Request data portability, under the applicable regulation
- Delete data processed on the basis of your consent
- Know who we share your data with
- Be informed about the option of not consenting and the consequences of that choice
- Withdraw your consent at any time
How to exercise your rights
Write to education@movanetwork.com with your request. We will reply as quickly as we can and within what the LGPD requires. We may ask you to confirm your identity in order to protect your own data.
Minors
The MOVA community includes teenagers from age 14. The processing of data of children and adolescents follows article 14 of the LGPD, always in the minor's best interest and with the guardian's consent where required. That is why the forms ask under-18s to confirm their guardian's authorization, and the site's copy asks guardians to take part in the conversation.
International transfers
This site is hosted, and the data submitted through the forms is stored and processed, by providers located outside Brazil, such as the ones named in the sharing section. In those cases, data transfers happen with the safeguards provided for in the LGPD, through suppliers that adopt recognized security and data protection standards.
Updates to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site and the network evolve. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page, and relevant changes will be communicated through MOVA's channels.
This text is a plain-language draft and will be reviewed by a data protection lawyer before the official launch. This English version is provided for convenience; in case of divergence, the Portuguese version prevails.
